Mona Hatoum, geboren in Beiroet in een Palestijnse familie, vestigde zich in 1975 in Londen nadat de burgeroorlog uitbrak in Libanon. Ze begon haar loopbaan halverwege de jaren 80 met verschillende opvoeringen en video’s, voordat ze zich begin jaren 90 richtte op installaties en sculpturen. Ze houdt ervan de kijker bij haar kunst te betrekken door tegenstrijdige emoties van verlangen en afkeer, angst en fascinatie aan te wakkeren.

Let op: de koppen en schotels zijn niet geschikt om te reinigen in de vaatwasser.
